We have one giant standup and one chest freezer that’s so big you can put 3 elk in it alone. Then the freezer above our refrigerator. This elk is going to my father in laws, he didn’t get one this year.

This was my first bull with a muzzleloader during general season. This hunt went from hearing nothing to 5 different bulls screaming their heads off. He was the first one to come in, so he got put in the dirt. Hope I can be successful like this for years to come to keep putting elk meat in the freezer.

Little 2024 elk success tonight. Fried tenderloin in butter and garlic from my daughters cow she got this year.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

It was, and I ate way too much. Roasted squash and brussel sprouts with it. Was also able to make a good sized plate for lunch tomorrow. Can’t wait to eat it in the teacher lounge, it’s perfectly medium rare 😂

Oh Man! Good for you!!! -- Retired teacher here.... The teacher lounge is great fun!... Reheated venison and they want the recipe ...but  some are squeamish and need educated.... Microwaved/reheated salmon and cod, on the other hand, is another story.... I guess it taints their cup-o-noodles....  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :dunno: :IBCOOL:

Last day success! I had the multi season tag this year and had encounters in every season that got screwed up for one reason or another. I got my money's worth this year!
