I do not know that area, seems odd it would still be in velvet this late in the year?

Maybe killed a month ago?
Wouldn’t they have to strip velvet to get a true measurement? To be considered a world record?
Story on Instagram says it was dated August 6th

Looking up the rez rules and if it is the exclusive tag, then the holder could hunt starting August 1. Looks like some big bulls have come out of there based on a short search.

I had never heard of that area producing big bulls until I was sent this pic. There are some nice bulls around there!
