Watershed Access
« on: October 09, 2024, 03:49:09 PM »
Hello All,

I drew the watershed unit this year and am prepared to put some work in.   Unfortunately the Tiger Creek fire may put a damper with regards to my plans on accessing the unit.  I have family that has lived off Millcreek for 40years and  a lot of family that grew up in Walla Walla.  However I live on the westside and understand that access can be limited due to private property.  If anyone can help with regards to access, I’d appreciate it greatly.  My plan is to put in a lot of miles on foot.  I’ve hunted turkey in the foothills so I know how steep the terrain is.  I’m just looking for access and any help.  Thank you all!

The intake trail has some private land locking out some access but plenty of spots to dive in off of black snake ridge rd. or the table rock side.

Well, there’s some archived posts regarding access via skyline. Access from the top is pretty prevelant. Thats where I went in. Not sure what effect the fires have or if that is the one you’re referring to. Problem with the top access is the weather. Winter comes quick. Good luck, if you have any question glad to help

Thanks Fellas!  I think I’ve got a pretty good plan in mind with how I’m going to hunt it.  I’ll be sure to post a pic if I get a bull down!
