Wolf/dog question

A friend in north Idaho with livestock told me his wolf problem with livestock is minimal but wolf/dog hybrids have been a nightmare.  Anybody have experience or is he way off track?  Thanks

Believe or not .
Washington has hybrid coy-wolves..
Don't ask how I know,but we've had them along time.
