Meat cutting table/ban saw experience?
« on: January 15, 2025, 09:36:23 AM »
Looking into buying a commercial grade meat cutting ban saw for personal use. Lots of options and makes out there and curious if anyone has one that they have really liked or experience with bad ones to keep away from. Looking at the roll around large ones.
Thanks in advance!

For beef?  For game I’m leery of cutting bones.  Just something to think about before buying equipment.

Yep, for beef and lamb....both of which we raise. Of course I would use it for elk on occasion,  lol.

I assume you have a way to freeze carcasses/large sections?

My only experience was Wayyyy back in a restaurant.  I believe it was a Hobart like many commercial kitchen implements.

I’d take a look at the pro- cut line but they’re not cheap around 4500.00 new . Problem with most of the used commercial saws there usually 3 phase. Butcherboy made a small 220 saw but pretty hard to find, but if you find one they work well.
