Back up camera
« on: May 11, 2025, 07:41:38 PM »
Any recommendations for an aftermarket one? Only real use would be to line up trailer hitches/ball as I quite often use 5 different trailers.

Had a guy show me a wolf box 4k rear view mirror he installed on a dodge. Really nice, had front and rear cameras with bump detection. Might be one to check out. I’m going to put one on my project truck once I get to that point

I've been using a YADA since 2015 without any issues. Mounted the camera C/L on the license plate looking at the ball and receiver.

I have this Camera integrated with the Rear View mirror, works very well.

Have had yadda for several years. Just for hitch hookups  I just bought Dana a redtiger dash cam for her Bday, great camera. From what I’ve seen on this pelees camera. This would have been a great fit for her as well. My truck is getting this. Thanks for the info link Alchase :brew:

If you want a more integrated solution I installed an Alpine ilx-w650 aftermarket stereo in my ‘04 F250. It has two camera inputs one front one rear. You can buy the cameras on amazon or best buy etc. it’s more work than the stand alone systems, but it has been very nice to have both front and back cameras for those time when parking is very tight.

I think this is the one I got, just need to find the time to install it, darn Morel season is taking up all my free time.  :chuckle:

Well change of plans. I’m gonna getting the red tiger. That pelsee is just to perfect for Dana’s car. Her actually bday is junteenth. So I will hard wire the 12” pelee plus. To get max benefit of the camera😉🥃🇺🇸
