Is FS70 open?
« on: May 20, 2025, 09:14:09 PM »
Does anyone know if FS70 from Greenwater to Cliffdell open?  Thinking of taking the family camping but not sure if HWY 410 will be open on Friday.  Thanks for any help.

Highway 410 will be open, they usually have it open by memorial weekend. This year is no exception.

Thanks for the reply.  Just planning alternate route in case 410 is not open.

Pyramid pass is about 4,900’ and given the photos from chinook pass at 5,400’ it probably has a ways to go before it’ll be open.

Has anyone gone over pyramid pass yet this year?  I plan on being over there next week and was curious if I could make the jump over the 70 road.

I'm headed up there tomorrow. Based on the most recent trail report here I'm thinking I can get to where I'm going. Not sure exactly where pyramid pass is (unless this is it, lol)

Pyramid is open from the 70 road and you can definitely reach GM. Not sure how far you are looking to go.

Planning on heading over to the 19 road. Curious if the snow drift just east of the crest trail has cleared yet.

If I'm thinking the correct area shoot me a PM of where you're talking about and I'll check it out while I'm up there tomorrow. Bad with road numbers.

We’re talking about the same area. Just south of pyramid peak where the road starts to drop down to the little naches.

Never could find a 19 road. All I see on OnX is 70's series and a 914 OHV trail around there. One tiny patch of snow around 5200 on a spur road off the 703800 ridgeline road north of Pyramid. Otherwise totally clear up there.

You were on the green pass road just north of the pyramid pass road. If you didn’t hit any drifts on that road I’m sure they’re both clear by now.

If you take that road east and down you will eventually hit the 19 road when you find the pavement.

Thanks for the update!
