Anti-Snagging Rule ?
« on: Today at 08:53:36 AM »
I need some help understanding this as it relates to your standard twitching jig.

As I read it, the top jig is not legal unless it is being trolled because it has 2 hooks.  Correct?

The other jigs in the photo are legal as long as a weight is not added below, or less than 12" above the jig.  Correct?

Jigs are also legal under a bobber

One must also be careful when attaching a 'stinger' hook on a jig. It can change a legal jig into an illegal jig.
Ahhh yes, the 'fun to try and figure out' Washington fishing and hunting laws. Good times!

Good luck. Our Fish and Game makes their money on fishing. You will read it, but the Gamie will have a different interpretation, and you'll end up with a ticket. They could make things simple, but why when they can write tickets all day

as much as I hate to agree I do.  We used to teach Hunter Ed.  Part of the week long class was to have a Gamie come in and talk to the students.  One of his comments was "it's not my job to interpret the regulations--it's my job to write tickets and let the judge decide.  Another class we had him and another Gamie come in..was asked some questions and they argued about what was lawfully.  Be careful out there

It needs an English teacher, instead of judge to make the ruling.  I'm pretty sure that the first sentence needs a comma or 2.
