That’s excellent!
You can make soap out if that fat, right?
There are a ton of uses for it, from baking to boot grease

You can use it to keep your hair from falling out...

I do the same on all our bears if they have fat which most don’t. 35 pints is a really good haul. It’s the only oil I use for any cooking when we have it. I think we ended up with 67 pints last season. It was a good fall for fat.

The blushing bride uses bear lard to make soap and shampoo. It's all we use.

I was wondering about that. A friend shares his fat with me and I always wondered about the cracklins. I’m going out for bear tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll have some similar story.
