Thanks for the follow up!

Too bad no freezer critters, but all that time alone isn't a bad consultation prize.
Bad News...The fog is getting thicker...
And Leon is getting laaaaarger.

Glad you had some good time to see the woods and clear the brain.
I saw too few critters as well but had some good days to wander in the woods and clear the brain. Back to work Monday I guess.
I brought several types of mushrooms out and we ate a few in camp.

Also found we have been seeing blue chantrelles just never knew what they were. But refuse to eat them based on color alone  :chuckle:

Do not say, Why were the old days better than these? For it is not wise to ask such questions.

Blues are choice! They're even meatier than the goldens.

From what I know they first pic are blues, referenced mushroom book and phone app. So fairly confident but I am no expert :chuckle:
Other pic is one of the many giant chicken of the woods I found. Lots around this year

Those don't look like blues. Do they have gills underneath or sponge like a bolete? Actually, they could be blues if they have gills. You pictures are of a very early bloom if they are.

Yep normal chantrelle gills below.  That is that made me look them up! Should have got a better Pic of that.

These were a little past prime but probably ok to pick and eat right away.
This Pic is of a tree that was still growing and dripping.
Zoom in at bottom and you can see the bow leaning on tree for size reference.
