Saw this buck with it's tongue hanging out. Is this part of the disease?
Heavy crop for visual.

No.
Saw him the next day,but his tongue was still hanging out.
Both days I saw him he was eating. Seemed like he was getting around just fine.

When you see him ,walking in circles, falling down and getting up,or stands there and let's you get close enough to almost pet him.
Walking dead if you see that.

Bottom lip looks peeled back ,maybe nose planted over a fence ,or dodged a car or something.
Whatever it is ,doesn't look good.

Just when 127 was starting to take shape again! Dangit probably means deer are dying in 139/142. Might have to hunt the mountains this November. Been hot and dry.

Just heard from a buddy in the Palouse. Lots of mortality there as well.  :'(

Both CWD and blue tongue have the same symptoms right before death occurs. SO....
Who's to say we may just be having a die off.
Or maybe it's blue tongue down south, CWD on the north end of region one.
Maybe both,never know.
Sucks anyway you look at it.

Crap, our group has three Palouse buck tags. Was really hoping it wasn’t going to make it south. Not good. :(

Ive found a couple in 130. They still hadn’t recovered from a couple years ago. The Palouse tag is looking bleak.

Are you seeing whitetails or mulies?  The late tag is only for whitetails.
