Anybody see the new release from Fish and Wildlife about testing for CWD? In it they remind hunters that all deer taken in any 100 series unit must be tested for CWD. Then they go on to say it takes 4-6 weeks to get test results. Then they say " Ideally, hunters are advised to wait for a negative test result before processing meat if possible." Anyone see a problem with this?

Anyone see a problem with this?Basically you just freeze all your meat and wait 4 weeks. It's definitely a pain.Despite what they say,you have to process. You just have to wait for results if you don't want to eat CWD positive meat.

They are saying don't process until negative test result, but also saying it takes 4 to 6 weeks for a test result.I'm wondering if any butcher shops are going to want to process meat if it hasn't been cleared? This isn't a very practical solution.
