Looking for a mentor
« on: October 08, 2025, 09:45:10 PM »
How’s it goin everybody! I’m in search of someone that would be willing to take me out and show me the ropes on a modern rifle deer hunt. Not to picky about area as long as it’s not an alpine hike lol but I’m a 30yr old veteran. Grew up outside and doing a lot of the activity’s WA has to offer but only have been “hunting” once with my grandpa when I was 16. Let me know. Would appreciate any help or in sight.

My recommendation is looking into classes either Blacktail Coach. They over free class for veterans, you learn things that other pay a LOT of money for and meet other aspiring hunters. I can’t vouch for their courses, but for free it’s a good deal. Should note that reaching out for help a few days before the opener isn’t going to get much action.
