How about eliminating paid big game guides? Isn't that an unfair advantage?

As the proud owner of a youtube page, I can travel over to Idaho and leave cellular cameras out year 'round unless the verbage I read a while back changed... I should do it and pimp big buck pics and pins lol

The comment periods are likely required as part of the rulemaking process and I'm not bothered at all by the commission ignoring the comments. If I say that I'm opposed to ballot box management why would I favor management by popular opinion. Hunters are often outnumbered by antis during comment periods if it's just down to keeping score.

That is the only valid but somewhat weak point I've seen supporting their decision. As I've mentioned before, its not a big deal to me either way, we use trail cams but don't depend on trail cams for my business or for personal use. But, this was a huge black eye on a commission and department that openly, repeatedly, and continually claim they value and make decisions based on public input! It's not like it was non-resident anti-hunters asking to continue the use of trailcams, it was IDFG's core customers, their resident license buyers commented in masses and they ignored their input! That's not good policy and it has tarnished their customer approval!

Clearly, a statement made to point out where do we draw the line!!!!!!
Cameras, range finders, compounds, thermals, guides, long range guns, side by sides,.....
Where does it end and WHAT is unfair?????????
Hate?
Not so much.

I don't think that was hate, but in reality it's a correct statement. Hired guides are getting more mature animals killed than cell cameras lol

I am looking forward to the day I can just sit in my chair at home and hunt via drone or remote camera! Maybe even have a larger drone that will drop it at my house or the butcher shop, or a robot that will cut and wrap for me. That will be a wonderful hunting experience!
Cuterebra are NOT cute!

I benefit from it.

Regardless that wasn't the point "I" was making.
The point I was trying to make is if it's cameras then what's next.
I figured it would be a provocative question and generate discussion.
Obviously it will never happen.

One of my best friends was a steelhead guide.
Ironically he would be the first to tell you that 2Many guides are one of the major problems.
Hunting is different.
IMHO

Hmmmmm,  Trying to figure out where you stand, or don't stand on this issue.

All your previous replies in this thread leave little doubt you are against the use of cell cams...... I thought ;)

But this reply reads you are against this ban :dunno:  Should we ban all those mentioned too?  or just what suits you?

What's your point here? Just trolling?    HONEST QUESTION

Fair enough.

I feel the future of our critters is in serious jeopardy.
Any aid at all increases hunter success which equals more and more limited opportunities moving forward.

I would rather increase opportunity by decreasing hunter efficiency and ultimately allowing more the privilege of the chase.

I love my guns and gadgets but would love to see them make access harder, go primitive weapons, and allow more opportunity to meet their management goals.
