CWD test results 🤤🤫
« on: November 20, 2025, 06:28:24 AM »
Has anyone got results back yet
Think my sample was submitted 4th day of modern.
I'm hungry for mule deer man sticks .

The conspiracy theory.....
That no results are given till season closed ,so they don't have to replace tags.

Another question....
Would you all support discount tags for positive results for next year.
Meaning your deer tag would be discounted the following year,if you hit a positive result this year.

Well, I guess I can be the test subject. We have not received results back from my son’s moose, which were turned into them on 3 October. And we have been eating the crap out of it. Roasts burgers, pepperoni we have enjoyed it all. I might be more worried if they had any documented cases of human infection

I got both of my daughters results back 2 weeks ago. 1 shot 3rd day of modern and one shot 7th day. Dropped them at drop off box in pomeroy. I shot my buck 2nd day of early muzzy season and no drop stations near so took into the local Yakima wdfw office. They weren’t sure what to do with them but contacted the biologist and she said take info and put in ziplock and freeze and she would take care of them. Fast forward to now and still says nothing found in the system for results. I contacted Yakima office and they said they’d been sent off.

At least someone got a result back. Kinda blows the conspiracy theory apart.

As far as eating before results, that's just personal preference.
I've heard of many that didn't test at all ,and eat up.
Nothing wrong with that.

The odds of eating a positive deer are so low right now.
Really nothing to worry about.

Ya I got my results a few days after modern closed.
Still waiting on my wife's ,forky late buck WT.
Only one positive result so far is pretty good. Yet the way restrictions hammered in, thought we see more than one case. Season isn't over yet.
Was really hoping for no positive cases.

Also sounds like 3200 samples, but only 2200 results.
So a 1000 samples was inclusive.
Just wonder if too long before submitting,or in the drop box too long.

I don’t know when mine posted but results were in when I checked at ~5wks. Early muzzy buck Muley.

It’s great to hear only one positive so far. I hope we don’t relax. Low prevalence is a good thing. Played a podcast on the way out to MT about prevalence and testing and what “could” help.

It’s possible to hold the line low and even make it go away if isolated and treated serious.

My sample was turned into the Kalispel tribes.  And I have Buddy that shot a moose in early October.  He turned his into the same freezer as me and hasn’t got his results back.  My whitetail buck is delicious FYI

Well I know eating before test results or not compliant with testing and eating is still pretty common.
The odds of positive result is very low at the moment.
I can say though, when you see a deer drooling all over itself, walking in circles,no fear of humans.
Then it falls over dead.
Then sits there to rot, crow or coyote won't eat on it. Not one bird or animal will touch it.
You'll know why ,they recommended not eating it till it's tested.

You have to see it ,to believe it.
Again all personal preference, with low case counts at this point.

Sounds more like EHD, which is a real threat unlike CWD
