That is a true trophy!!   Love it.  I shot a super old buck this year, I’m gonna get the tooth aged as I’m curious how old.  He had the body of a moose!!!  Biggest body deer Ive ever killed.   His head is a block.   I was more proud of that buck than bigger rack bucks I’ve killed.   He also had the ladies……does like dad bods!!   :chuckle:

To piggy back on great photography and info, the pic below is of a blacktail buck taken this Fall, posted here for the age interest rather than art. 



This buck appears to me to be regressing in antlers.  His teeth were worn down close to the gums, he had almost zero fat and his body was not particularly large.  He was with a doe.  His antler tips on the near side are broken, probably from fighting.
