I was flipping through the new issue of Montana Outdoors today and noticed that Tom Reichner has a full page Black bear photo in there. Congratulations Tom!

Way to go Tom!

Congrats.   Haven't got my issue yet...there are usually a lot of good photos in it.

Hey - thanks, guys!

Ironically, I was just in Montana.  For the past week, we took the kids to Yellowstone for a week-long camping vacation.  Of course, we stopped at a couple newsstands in Butte and Gardiner to see if the latest issue of Montana Outdoors was on the shelf.  But the only issues that were there were the May/June issues.  So I have yet to see my stuff in the mag.  Hopefully when we return next week for a short Glacier trip we'll find the new July/August issue.

I think the back cover "Parting Shot" may be an image of mine, as well.  Bighorn Sheep jumping over a fence?  Can't wait to see it myself - it feels good to have some photos put to good use.

Thats cool Tom!  There is some awesome photography in that magazine.  I'll see if I can locate it.
Congrats yourself, Doug - I saw your Whitetail photo on the cover of the WA Big Game Regulations book!  Awesome!

Cool pics. Are all of those bears in Montana?
No, not all of the bear photos on the website are Montana Bears.  Most of the Grizzlies are actually in the Wyoming portion of Yellowstone.  And the Black Bears are from all over.  Mostly I find good opportunities to photograph Black Bears in Glacier Park, Yellowstone, and right here in Okanogan County.

Where did you send your photo to? and i will have to toot my own horn, I had my first photo published in Real Hunting Magazine out of Montana it was a two page layout in their photo spotlight. :IBCOOL:
