im looking for an update on silverlake . are the blue-gill biting the kids are looking for fun. there is nothing better than kids catching fish. thanks. J

With the warm weather and given the time of year, the bite should have turned on.  Used to be able to catch a ton of bluegil, crappie and sunfish on that lake. Did really good years back when they lowered the water level to fix the dam.

I much prefer crappie and perch to bluegill.  I havent hit silver lake but plan on Alder lake soon.  They have some really nice perch and crappie.

just looking for fun for the kids.thanks and about the lake being lowered wasnt that around 93. i havent fished this lake for a long time. I AM THINKING OF GOING OUT TOMORROW ALSO.
