I got unit 15 whitetail, happy to have the tag in hand.
My favorite whitetail unit go the last week if you have not hunted there before.  Fun hunt.

Who else got lucky in the Idaho deer draw?! My nephew and I will be heading out in late October. Super stoked. First time for us in Idaho. Now to find a spot. lol.

What Area or Unit did you get?

We’ll be in unit 39 for the first week of the rifle opener in October.
I would plan to be back for the final week of season if you can. Especially if we get weather 39 during migration is a blast if you’re in the right areas

I had the tag two years ago with an elk B tag and hunted the opening part of the season. I took my son along and loved the area. I intended to hunt towards the last part in November like you said this time around. Did you rattle them in at all at that time of year?

I have never rattled them in I just hike around mainly in the valley down by the river.  Pick a hill park and hike in. Some pretty good animals in there.

Awesome to hear.  We drew 39 as well.  I’m gonna head over late summer to do a bit of scouting. I’ve got 4 spots marked on the map.  Big unit to cover!
