Sharpening my knives for Oregon Spring bear. Anyone else? I drew non-resident SW with no preference points and can't stop thinking about it. I probably have 50 hours of E-scouting down and my brother who live down there currently has boots on the ground. I'm feeling good. April 15th is when it starts for me. ODFW thinks it will happen earlier this year due to the fact that it was 80+ degrees in late winter. I'm hoping they're not rubbed out already but I can't control the weather. Hopefully I'll have a picture to post.

Good luck!!

Up here in AK, we still have several feet of snow on the ground.. Will be putting my baits out mid May and looking forward to a great guiding season in June! If any of you Idaho boys want to hunt grizz over bait feel free to reach out.

Regs are out for cell cameras, here's the specific language.

I suspect we'll see a lot of predator hunters emerge while using this technology...

•  Use any of the following technologies for hunting or scouting
big game animals or game birds from August 30 - December 31.

•     Thermal imaging technology;
•     Night vision technology;
•     Transmitting trail cameras on land owned by the federal
       government, the state of Idaho, or a local government
       within the state; or
•      Drone aircraft or other unmanned aircraft systems.
•  Except these technologies can be used for:
•      Hunting wolves, mountain lions, or predatory wildlife
•      Retrieving wounded game animals or game birds
•      Monitoring traps
