**BLACKTAIL TROPHY TACTICS HUNTING SEMINAR**

Cross the Divide, a non-profit organization is proud to present an exclusive opportunity for Active Duty Military & Veteransto sharpen their skills and elevate their hunting knowledge with nationally recognized expert Dave Riley — “The Blacktail Coach”

This **FREE Seminar for Veterans & Active Duty Members** delivers proven, real-world strategies used to consistently locate and harvest mature blacktail bucks.

Cross the Divide hosts the Blacktail Trophy Tactics Hunting Seminar, led by The Blacktail Coach and BuckVentures ProStaffer Dave Riley. The seminar brings together active-duty military and veterans for a focused day of learning, connection, and practical hunting knowledge.

Dave Riley delivers a deep dive into the strategies and mindset required to pursue mature blacktail bucks in the rugged terrain of the Pacific Northwest. Drawing from years of experience in the field, he breaks down how dominant bucks use their core areas, how hunters can identify those locations, and how small details—like wind, pressure, and terrain—can make the difference between simply seeing deer and consistently encountering trophy-class animals.

Throughout the seminar, participants explore key topics including locating trophy bucks, scent management, tree stands and blinds versus spot-and-stalk methods, baiting strategies, and timing the hunt effectively.

The Blacktail Trophy Tactics Seminar reflects Cross the Divide’s commitment to providing meaningful outdoor education and opportunities for the military and veteran community.

There's no cost to reserve your seat. I'm not sure where you see that. There are other events happening with this organization, including the Kokanee Fishing Derby happening. That may have a reservation price because it's a fundraiser for the organization. But this event is FREE for active duty members and veterans.

Was not free even when I selected the veteran option for discount... Still had to enter credit card info and was charged $100 to reserve a seat for my dad who is a vet... There was no way around that... You should try it from the website... It said there were 25 seats available and for this event and so on...
I love you... I really do...

I have been to this event before but I just registered without any $100.00 hold/payment/etc.  I will cancel my registration so someone that hasn't attended can attend, I just wanted to test what you were reporting.  It looks like you went to  https://theblacktailcoach.com/ and registered vs. https://www.crossthedivide.us/ctdevents

I would contact Dave and let them know your mistake so they can refund you and also remove your registration from their event.

I wish I were closer, Silverdale. Thanks for supporting military and vets!

Not if it required the $100.00 deposit.  I can tell by the form style that it appears you registered via the blacktail coach website, which are their standard events and do cost.  If you follow this link, you will register for the veterans course

https://form.jotform.com/260544038045149

and the form will be super-imposed over a Blacktail.

Hope that helps.
