Looking for a French or American Brittany Dog...
« on: March 17, 2026, 08:19:03 PM »
Lost my French Brittany last fall and looking for a adult dog replacement.

Definitely needs to be a hunting dog, but will live in the house.  I am looking for a smaller sized Brittany.  Dog doesn't have to be perfect, but friendly to people is definitely a plus.

I am a retired forester, so the dog will spent most of its life fishing, hunting and hiking.

Anybody know of a brittany in need of a home?

Might wanna contact some breeders and see if they know any that need to be rehomed and/or a breed specific rescue org.

There is a Facebook group for that exact purpose you might check out.

I looked at them real hard for my next hunting dog . As I want a smaller package to close out my hunting life. I think I will go with a FB English Cocker if it happens.
But French Brits are solid dogs for sure and well suited for your activities.

Good luck
