I got a 14' aluminum for $400 last year. Like new. Its 10x a livingston. I almost died in a 8' livingston. I hate them. No idea why people are so smitten by them. They are not roomy, stable or seaworthy

8' Livingston - seems plenty stable to me.  I think this will work.  Maybe a bit too much motor.
