Stolen Cams
« on: Yesterday at 10:45:31 AM »
When I showed up this past November to check cams before the season in 101, I hiked in to find 2 cams and my licking branch stolen lol. The good news, there was a third camera the thief (or you) missed. The cams have been replaced AND if I see you in the area I'd recommend FIVE spare tires. Gonna be a long walk out buddy  :chuckle:.
Hopefully none of you lost any cams or do this year...
On a side note, girls are close to calving

Let's see pics of the thief!!!  Someone will know who it is and we can all be on the lookout for the dirtbag.

:yeah: we see posts of people saying they had another camera all the time, never get to see the dirtbags.  Only prob, what if they just happened to walk by around the same time some other dirt bag took the camera?  I smile at cameras all the time and always wonder, if the next guy steals the camera without a picture being taken of him, will the owner think it was me??!!
“In common with”..... not so much!!

From a different perspective:

If I leave something out in the woods, I don't really expect it to be there when I return days, weeks, months later.

Your prospective doesn't justify theft lol

I'm not making an assumption on who took the cameras... I'm also not posting the photo due to my original post and my 2026 intent :)

I didn't justify anything.  Just injecting reality.

Sorry you got your stuff stolen... I always feel this way when I hang cams nowadays... It's a sad reality... Last year after late muzzy elk opened on the west side I had 3 cams in a place I've never had cams before... I came in for late muzzy deer and checked the cams... I had 9 different people, and the deer left the area,,, Nobody bothered the cams which were easy to see... But I pulled them anyways... Hope you find the person...
I love you... I really do...

I have his pic and he should look up next time he decides to be a thief lol. Luckily it was two of my cheapo cams and by him taking the licking branch odds are he's a whitetail hunter. Out 0f 35+ cams I've only had those two taken in 15yrs up here and one SD card. I actually had a guy pick up an SD card reader I dropped and sit it on top of my camera in 2024.

The amount of cameras I’ve had stolen/broken/molested in 101 is heartbreaking. People can be real d bags. These days I spend nearly equally as much time trying to put my cameras in non noticeable areas as I do trying to get animals on them.

You’re a more patient man than I am. I’ve never had rock solid evidence of anyone tampering with mine, but I’ve got about 90% certainty who messed with one of them. I’ve been giving him a world class stink eye for a few years now every time I see him around town.

I'd still post his pic and go for his tires... A good public shaming could a lot of us some good on here... Might save more peoples cams... You know that wasn't his first time stealing someone's cams and what not...
