I would shoot him. Nice buck for most washington hunters, especially archery.  I also really like the velvet, not to often you see nice bucks still in velvet.

It would be cool to set this up in a poll format....

To honest not on opening day , i would love to see my kid shoot him, I really dont care for deer meat, but love to hunt for that possible stud. I wont waste any meat I;m just not lookn to fill my freezer with a mule deer. after a couple of hard weeks of hunting to be honest again I think I'd drill him.Coach.

pass...even knowing i haven't killed an animal with a bow yet...i wouldn't shoot.
i'm with wabonehunter and who ever else said the same similar thing. i don't want to end my season anymore with a buck like that...too much to enjoy being in the woods.

Being the first day, I'd pass on the gun, but let an arrow fly.

Who says shooting this buck on opening day ends your season? Shoot it, be the hero, put meat in camp, then focus your energy helping out your camp buddies fill their tags!   :dunno: :IBCOOL:

Someone has to shoot a deer on opening day, it may as well be you!

Yup...   without a second thought... I'm a meat hunter..  and as soon as I get my big game tag notched...it'll let me spend more time hunting birds with my dog's.
