Kings are at Neah Bay

Kings were popping at spike rock, we hit a 22lbs and a 30lbs.

We had great luck, landed 2 kings and of course lost 2 bigger ones at the boat.  My hunting buddy lost them both, I have video of both fish and they were hogs.  I think it is worse to have the video, oh well the fishing was off the hook.  The first Pic was my boss this is my 20+.

Sweet.  Looks like a great day weather/water wise too.  

I've fished mushroom rock, duncan rock, fuca pillar, seal rock, sail rock...where's spike rock?  South of fuca pillar?  Won't get up there this year, just curious where it's at.

It is 7 miles south of Tatush (spelling?) right off the beach just north of Father and Son.  Got them in about 60 feet of water.

Cool, I've been down in that neighborhood for lings and rockfish earlier in the season, but not for kings.  Awesome when you get them in that shallow.  I assume you were jigging or mooching?  Seems you'd be snagging kelp all the time if you were trolling.

 :IBCOOL:Trolling, yeah lots of kelp, did both down riggers at 45 and 50 feet and six once lead, 16-20 pulls.  Cut plug green lable.  Beleive it or not we hooked a Gray whale out at the prairie.  Had to cut the line, told my buddy he should of set the hook but he cried about his spendy reel melting down, lol

 The fish are really nice, but that is about the flattest water I've ever seen out there, nice day to be out!

Nice! they definatly werent in at pt towndsend... hit it over the weekend and nothing happening    60-70 boats and never saw one net out

hering in some blue brine.  Sorry I am not the expert, but the brine was just the stuff off the self from Johns Sporting good in Everett.  They were the green labled stuff.  We had 50-100 silvers just popping the same set up.  The pic is of ScottA from this site, he is my hunting buddy The water was flat but it was very foggy in the morning.

Cut plug and a variation of hoochies... proven stuff that seems to have worked well for me before at sekiu and down around pt no point. Never been up at pt wilson but damn i guess i just suck or something
