M2D Camo...
« on: July 14, 2009, 10:26:29 AM »
Just placed my order yesterday for a head-to-toe getup of M2D Camo.  Has anybody tried this camo?  How did it work out for you?  Any fitting issues?  Issues with the organization of pockets or whatever interfering with equipment like binoculars, slung rifles, etc...?

From what I've read and seen pictures of this stuff is just about the best all-round camo set-up for a fella that only gets one set.

Comments, suggestions???

I have never heard of MD2 camo before.  Who makes it?

The company is called Made 2 Deceive (M2D) and is manufactured in Spokane.  I first heard about it in a Predator Xtreme magazine several months ago and in an article on Longrangehunting.com recently.  All I can say is look at the pictures and judge for yourself.  The prices are competative and like I said in my first post, it's going to be my only set of camo.

When it gets here I'll do my own little review and fill everybody in.  From what I've seen on some other sites that I frequent many people have heard of it, but nobody's chiming in saying they've actually tried it.

I received a set of pants, long sleeve T-shirt,  and T-shirt to use a couple of turkey seasons ago.  They did fine.  I would like more pockets in the pants, more along the lines of cargo, than jeans.  I did not like the way it almost glows with direct sunlight, but that is with my eye, not the birds or coyotes.  Deer looked right at me last archery season at 30 yards and did not flinch.  Of course I was able to do that with a neon pink T&C Surf shirt back in middle school.

This company is a side company for a fireman here in Spokane.  They had real bad issues with product availability this last year.  He had spent most of his money on the first batch of clothing, advertising and travel, and taking hunting trips with his fireman buddies.  He was looking for other investors for working capital.  I don't know if his money situation is worked out or not, and if he will survive the recession.

The problem with the camo pattern is that it doesn't look like a very good all around camo to our human eyes, so it is a tough sell to retail outlets and investors.  I think it performs fine with the animals.  I will say that I have washed those clothes over and over and they have not faded in the least.  I hope that helps.

I know the show was running on the Canadian Outdoor Network.  I don't know if it has expanded or new shows are still being filmed.

I have some and have used it coyote hunting.  I think it's awesome stuff and will probably be using it during early archery for muley's.

Tlbradford - I don't know what kind of pants you have, but the ones I have are a cargo style.

I got jeans.  He may have added to his line.  This was from the first batch of stuff he ordered up, when he wanted some field testers.  I do know he got a a double bull blind made up last year with the M2D pattern and they slaughtered the turkeys on his property north of town.  What do they call the "double bull" now?  Primos sumthin or other.

You're probably right.  I got mine 3 years ago? at the Big Horn show along with a button up shirt, short sleeved shirt, hat, and coat.
