Wolf Cub Picture

Yeah it was a wolf, and yeah I blew it. It is the dark spot that fills the left side of the frame. It ran across the road I gunned it, and threw up my camera. Sucks. It is from this years crop. Mainly black with a little white on face tail and chest. I only saw this one, no mom and no other cubs. Sorry to blow it guys. Here are a pile of other pictures from today's trek through the Pend Oreille National Forest.

If you think all of the canyons look alike you are kid of right. I wasn't paying attention to road numbers and ended up getting turned around and found a gate across the road. Luckily our tax money goes to signs like this, for someone who has their eyes plastered to the hills.

I'll let you bird experts tell me what this is. There was a breeding pair by Sandpoint.

Cool pics. I have family in Sandpoint and Spirit Lake. Used to spend summers at their cabin on Pend Oreille. Have explored lots of that country, and seen lots of Bighorns and Moose on the back roads to Missoula.

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Nice pics. I like that country a lot. I'm no bird expert but I'd put my money on osprey.
