Big elk sheds what do you think????
«

I just left a friends house where we just finished scoreing these. I picked them up while helping a friend on a deer hunt last year. I was going to just list what we came up with but I thought I'd give you all something to do, What do you think they will score with the standard 40" spread credit for drops. Tmike and Huntnphool know what he scores what do the rest of you think?
And another clue if it helps I am 5'10 & 185 pounds
Just for fun the story on these is I saw the top three points of the left side from 3/4 of a mile accross a canyon and thought I was looking at a Mule deer horn. After a hike accross and dropping my rangefinder over a cliff I was amazed to find three Elk sheds and this matching set. Here is the third one in the pile.

That is a great find Mark, now if we can find that bull for you to hang a tag on you will have one hell of a story.

Also guy's I'm talking a Gross score here mostley ...I'm not much into the deduct part but when the time comes I will give both answers. I am one that kinda thinks if the animal grows it you should get credit for it!!!!

I just want to know about your range finder.. Did it survive the fall or did you go after it? What type is it? Looking at picking up a new range finder and like the fact there is people doing durability tests out there.

Sky,

Did it survive the fall
well It was the Bushnell yardage pro 600, I did hike after it and found it in pieces I put it back together and it still works allthough it was missing the battery door. I am sure I could order from bushnell. But I decided it was a good excuse to buy the leupold tbr anyway!

357. You should sell the range finder story to Bushnell for advertisement purposes.

Ya kinda funny now after looking back at it I was skirting the top of a cliff that went into a rock slide below and I was trying to figure out a way around it when it fell out of the case, it was one of those things that seems like it was happening in slow motion and seemed like it took forever to stop and ended up about 250 to 300 feet below me. And it was tumbling that entire distance on a rock slide not on grass or dirt. I saw black pieces flying and thought well that will never work again. So when I went after it I was only expecting to recover my litter from the mountainside instead of leaving it ... you know leave no trace, Anyway it works and now it is my back up with a little duck tape over the battery door it's as good as new!
