Tiger trout
«

This is a pic of the former state record Tiger trout held by me back in 2002 caught on a size 14 dry Wulff. My lake has since then been fished out of the monster tigers. Could anyone shoot me a pm of any possible Tiger trout locations please (flyfishing only lakes are prefered). Thanks

Thanks. Its a sterile hybrid cross between a brook trout and a brown trout. This species is very aggressive and just wonderful to take while fly fishing. I know a few other lakes that supposedly were stocked with these recently but I need some feedback before I take a long drive

tigers are caught regularly to 20" at a lot of eastside lakes.
lenice and dry falls to name a few, and those 2 are no secrets.
how big is that fish? just curious.

This one was 17.5 in and a bit shy of two lbs. I could imagine dry falls and the crab creek lakes pushing out monsters. This fish came from Okanogan county.

not my fish, but a big one none the less, especially if yours was the ex-state record.
i imagine most people release them rather than kill them, otherwise there'd be a lot bigger fish in the record books...

Surprised that was a state record. I've caught a couple at Lenice that were leviathons compared to him. You better try your hand there. The biggest stretched the tape just short of 26 inches. Great fighting fish. Caught it on a size 18 olive hares ear.

Yeah, its no incredible hulk. I held the record for only 8 months then the previous record holder came in and took it back. All this fly fishing talk and word of 20 inch plus fish makes me wanna turn the clock to may 1st.
