bearpaw: worst was some scraps we had put in a plastic bag because they were just small loose pieces.I'm not here to bust your balls, but why the plastic bags? Loose meat goes will in agame bags.

meat in a plastic bag does not breath it will go bad no matter how cool it is unless you freeze it, hanging meat in the shade in 70 degree heat will work as long as it cools down at night.
One thing that hasn't been said about hot weather hunting is the live body temp of a bear. Once you kill a bear and gut it, it's already cooling down to the outside temp. I'm not saying take your time, but you do have time.
