I just got my moutrie 5.0 yesterday, and was going to set it out this upcoming saturday.  are the bears that bad with them?  How high up a tree do you usually set them up?

yeah bears are pretty hard on them, but more than anything the boxes are used to keep humans from packing out with your camera.
nothing worse than being all excited to see what images your cam has captured, only to show up and your cam is gone :bash: .

I built mine for my reconyx and instead of using lag bolts I cut the threads off a couple of tree steps and welded nuts on the end they thread in way easier. nice boxes.

So does the camera just sit in the box loose or is it attached to the box ?
Can't we all just get along?

It just sits in there, no straps or anything to hold it in other than the door.

Its almost time to get the Game Cams out.

So If anyone has a Moultrie D-40 or D-50 game cam, I've got a few bear boxes left from last year.
