Also from that site: This has been a really long road for Tre and he could really use our love, light, and healing energy. Tre is aware this is happening and he will be receiving the energy at 5:45pm. If you cannot make it to Mt. Tabor, please still send him positive energy at 5:45pm wherever you are

I don't think a lot of people take these guys seriously.

probably will do no good but I had to comment on the article:

As others have stated actual fish and wildlife management is paid for by hunters and fishers. The State Fish and Wildlife Departments are funded by hunter and fishers who who have provided the funding through license purchases and taxes on hunting/fishing equipment to fund management of all species.

Additionally for those who don't know, there are two different species of elk in Oregon and Washington. Rocky Mountain elk on the eastside and Roosevelt on the westside. President Theodore Roosevelt (a hunter) started Yellowstone Park and the national park system to insure animals wild places forever. Elk from Yellowstone were used to re-establish herds on the eastside of WA/OR. The roosevelt elk are native elk that have flourished under modern management and now are more numerous than anytime in modern history.

So even if you are a non-hunter, the next time you are viewing elk or photographing bald eagles, remember, hunters and fishers paid for the management of these species as well, and we don't mind doing it for future generations to enjoy wildlife. Unlike the anti-hunter crowd, we put our money to work for the benefit of wildlife instead of putting it into hate campaigns aginst McDonalds or Red Lobster, or attacking medical research facilities.

If you want to truly help wildlife donate your money to your Fish and Wildlife Department.
Respectfully Yours

These same people want more wolves as well....... I wonder how they contribute to the "happiness" of elk and other wildlife?  As mentioned previously, what morons!

Personally, I think that anyone that eats meat, wears leather, uses shampoo or gets any kind of medical treatment that was ever tested on animals, and complains about hunting is a hypocrite.  But hey, I guess I am an animal hating extremist!
