found a fetus
« on: August 13, 2009, 05:42:11 PM »
yup just like the title says, went up bear hunting last night and right in middle of the road we were walking down was a fetus  :yike: wasn't very developed yet and was about 2 1/2 inches long or so. all i can figure that would be pregnant right now is a sow  :dunno: there was no blood around and the thing was fresh.it was weird, miscarriage maybe  :dunno:
No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and Virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.

I think their gestation period is either 7 or 8 months.
Might be a coyote.  They can have 2 or more litters in a year.

Probably not a bear. Crazy though. Bears breed from mid may to july or so and they dont actually start to develop until november. Mother natures way to insure the cubs are born in the den. Im pretty sure bears are the only animal like that. But yeah, crazy find none the less.

Went and looked it up and yeah it is 7-8 months and the cubs are actually born in a premature stage of development...really cool stuff....they also have a delayed implantation of the fertilized egg....

I think your coyote idea might be more likely.... a cat might be a possibility as well.

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

That or a bob kitty.

It couldn't be a bear as some of you have learned...delayed implantation.
