Cory and Dustin at XXX do great work.  No matter where you go, if they have to order strings it's gonna take awhile.  This is the season that the closet shooters are flooding the shops at the last minute.  It only takes an hour to change but you may be 40th in line.  Also the string makers are swamped.  You may be able to just give it a good waxing to get you through September, hard to say without seeing it.

Its not just getting a new bow string. Its all the other service that you get with a top pro shop. These are custom strings made to fit your bow. They are not stock strings that fit several different bows.

How long it takes depends on how busy it is. Which mostly depends on the time of the year. They can send you out strings as well, so you don't need to make the drive. Give them a call.

I called Cory and put in an order.  6 days later they were in my mailbox.  That string has moved since I had it put on.  Peep still lines up great.

all bow models take a particular string and cable length and the strings will most likely not fit on another model. the custom aspect is for pre stretching and colors if you want them. agreed teh part that takes longest is getting the string, they go on real quick.
