Don't group them all just because of this guy. The one I have in the picture I caught while they there fishing Sat. evening. This little kid got my line 3 times, I let him reel it over and he freed it. When I got my fish on, one guy walked out and cased over my line (witch would have ended the same as your sons fish). He didn't know I had a fish on, when he cased over me I told him he cased over me and I have a fish on. He said sorry and worked his line off of mine and they all stayed out of the water until my fish finely left the hole. BTW, up river at the Gard rail hole a white guy was fishing from the other side, any body in there right mine wouldn't be fishing there, he would case over every body's line and F it all up. He was a real a--hole.

No its not just one guy...Its a bunch of guys that do the same thing. I seen 4 different native people cast over not just my line but others to try and get our legal fish off and ours are legally hooked mouth fish and they snag them and take them....

Not a fun place to fish. I don't fish the area in the pics, where i fish has less people cause they don't want to walk... You can get away from people if you walk, and you don't have to spend the money on a key.
I will not keep a fish out of the skok if it is not nickle bright. If it doesn't have sea lice it goes back. We have had 15-20 fish days away from crowds, bobber and egging it or spinners. Those nooks just crush the spinners.

I had one "decent" experience when i was a kid fishing on the rez side.  I hiked in from the bridge by Hunter Farm on the rez side, it was before they had it posted everywhere.  I had a nice, bright 20 lb hen on the bank and was going for my second.  I think the limit was 2 then.  I was the only person on the river for at least 1/4 mile.  All of a sudden this old Indian dude shows up and asks me what's going on?  I said just fishin'.  He then asked if I knew that I was fishing on the rez and that it was closed to non tribal members.  I said that I was unaware of it.  He told me that I could stay and get my second fish but I couldn't fish there any more after that.  About 10 minutes after he leaves I catch my second and start heading down the road to my rig.  He pulled up behind me and gives me a ride back to my truck.  I thanked him and never went back.  That is the one and only good interaction that I have ever had with a Skok.  All the others, and there were many have ended up in almost fist fights.

i don't care for their netting, but i've had mostly good experiences with the tribe in the few times i've ever really talked with them.  a couple years ago 2 skoks came paddling down the river past me and were pointing out fish in the pockets for me.  seemed pretty nice.  they're just people, after all.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun
