R.I.P. Officer.

Prayers sent for family and friends.

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Here is the statement from Sondra Jonker wdfw:

The Elk Problem

The Cowlitz Valley area, especially around Packwood, is historically an elk habitat, said Sandra Jonker, the region 5 program manager for the state Department of Fish and Wildlife.

After complaints regarding high elk population and property damage, a specialized hunt began Aug. 1 that allows enlisted hunters to use private properties that owners have signed over after their complaints. Jonker said.

“Unfortunately there are many vehicle-wildlife collisions across the nation, and this is absolutely a tragic accident,” Jonker said. “Some areas have become very habituated (with elk), but there’s not much we can do in town, on highways or around residences.”

Still, crews are working to create animal crosswalks on roads and address property and crop damage issues, she said.

The hunt ends Sept. 7, and hunters need a special permit to get on the private grounds, she said.

What an absolute JOKE! An Elk crosswalk??? :bash:

actually ive heard of these before, and from what ive heard the animal "cross-walks" work pretty good.

sad to hear about the loss of an officer like that....
