Not sure how far is south.. but in SW part of the state here, we have great genetics..
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

up north we have some dandy bucks. I also hunt in the SW. I think you see more in SW. and up here they are harder to see pluse we share them with the bear couger and wolves more than in the SW
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

I voted south too...but that's mostly because I don't get up north much. But even around here in K.C. we get some dandys too, I've popped one that scored over 100 B/C missed a couple bigger than that  and have seen quite a few that would be consider Wall hangers :twocents:

I'm pretty sure that the state record BT's are south of Olympia and from the Olympic penninsula. That said, I've seen some monsters in the Skamania area. There might be a little cross breading going on, but some big Blacktails for sure. I've hunted BT from near the north border to the southern reaches. From my younger days I remember an area east of Quinault that had some monsters. Access sucked and the place stood on end. South of Randle also had some big bodied deer.
