Supposedly most of the the lakes in Okanogan County that used to be stocked with tigers, have been switched to triploid eastern brook. I don't think the tigers did too well in many of the lakes they stalked. The triploid easterns seem to be faring pretty well though.

Quite a few lakes in the Spokane area have tiger trout.

I saw the State Record Tiger a few years ago. The guy who caught it goes up to Blue Lake(Conc) every year the same time my group is there. He caught it in some little lake on the hill above Sinlehekin. Not sure his record still stands but, I saw him celebrating in Conconully and the fish was HUGE!
I caught my first one in Connor pond (stump pond)near Loomis about 5 years ago. More brown in that lake...really cool looking.

Just amazes me that salmon hatcheries are considered evil, yet they are OK with genetically engineered entire new species
.
Really cool fish, wouldn't mind catching one.

Man, thats on my list of fish to catch, I know of one lake that has them planted, was going to fish it, but never got time, one of these days. On of my fav. looking fish!
