Late elk (shed camp) pics
« on: November 29, 2009, 05:30:21 PM »
We had a grea time elk hunting in the snow lots of elk and deer, but no shot ops. 4 me but I could have shot several legel bucks. The naches deer heard is pretty good lots of legel bucks running every were. I started finding sheds and that was the end of hunting for me, i started staring at the ground instead of looking 4 critters. I know were i will b in a couple of months picking up horns

I wouldnt say the Naches deer herd is doing great but I do think they are doing better. I have heard from a few of my buddies that are bow hunting right now, that there are a few more legal bucks running around this year. Hopefully we wont get hit with a hard winter.

The deer herd is struggling alittle there IMO... So we left deer camp a couple days early and drove thru there... Dad and I have also done some late muzzy elk hunts there when they had them...

Like you, once I find a shed, it's game over... :chuckle:  I blew a nice bull in NM because I spotted a match set of muley sheds out in the open between us.  I made a run for them and he busted me.  What a moron...

I'll bet I'm not the only one who could be miles away from any people when I see a shed and I still look around in panic as I race over to grab it so I don't get aced out by someone else. :chuckle:
