So I bought a peep sight online and there was some cheap serbian 30-30 ammo so I bundled it in on the package. Today I also bought a box of hornady and federal. All the rounds are 150 grain rounds. They are all FP bullets. The serbian ammo is the least quality looking as I expected, it's just to get rounds on paper with the new sight. The federal ammo looks slightly better. The hornady looks like somebody was extremely precise. There isn't excess lead on the side of the top of the bullet. The brass look far superior with a better color and shininess to it. My question is, (you knew it was coming, deal with it,) how much does the appearance in fit and finish influence these rounds? I always thought a better looking bullet would fly better and better looking brass is higher quality. Is this in fact the case?
