That compay was going down hill fast as soon as Mike Lorenz sold it. Too bad too because they built one hell of a boat.

Maybe she is the one who dropped the dime on him committing fraud and he figured he would take her out for it? :dunno:

In a case like that, they should be allowed to save tax payers dollars and close the case right then and there. :twocents:Mark

From what I have heard he was looking at significant amount of time anyway, he must have figured his life was pretty much over so why not. :dunno:

Why not, there are plenty of them out there 4 sale. I do all the work on my boat anyway so its not like I needed them once the sale was done. :dunno:

Good point, I like to rig my own boats from top to bottom, so I guess it wouldn't matter except for the warrantee on the hull and basic rigging.  I would like to find one bare bones and built it up myself.

North River is still in business and is either building or getting ready to build boats. The bank is running the show.Do a google search and you should be able to get more of the latest on this.

I read another article. It said she left him 2 months ago. He started stalking her and she got a restraining order. It said he shot her in the back while walking away from him with a shot gun. She had told family she was very affraid of him.

What a NUT!!

You buy a used North River and you don't get a hull warranty anyways. If anything happens to it,there are many repair shops that can weld aluminum.

I've had an Alumaweld and now a North River. I'll take my NR with no warranty over my Alumaweld if it had a lifetime warranty.
