I know of an area but its a bit of a drive.Out by marblemount.... drive over the bridge...drive for a few miles turn left on any  one of the gravel roads. Go up high and you should see blues and ruffs...I've shot lots up  there by the berries. Its a bit of a drive but pack a lunch and enjoy it...If you have a bear tag----take a rifle with you. Good luck wherever you go

NWBREW,

What road did you turn off in?  THe national forest is right there, and a guy could end up in some trouble quick!

What trouble might that be seth30 as National Forest land is generally open to public hunting? Are you confusing National Forests with National Parks that don't allow hunting?

Go up Hwy 530 to Swede Haven. Take a left on 387th Ave. Follow that road, it curves to the left, and take a right on USFS road 18. That road goes way up into Finny Cumberland. Keep going up that road and there is tons of roads you can run. Also a good area for bear.  :twocents:

Maybe start walking old gated roads with alot of leaf litter,I've seen more on these type of roads. You might be flushing them before you seem them by driving?
