Yeah he's such a girl.  Look at his bow he has his spot-hogg sight and cams powder coated blue marble.  He's all about the bling.  LOL.  He has had the worse luck elk hunting.  For the last 3 years he hasn't even seen an elk during the season.  But the wilderness area is a whole different ball game.  Now it's gonna be hard to be around him and all the braggin.

Awesome Bull.  Not a bad start to his Elk hunting career!

He'll probably spend the rest of his life trying to get a bigger one!

Hope the rest of the group connects!

So now the real story is starting to filter off the mountain.  Seems that the mighty bowhunters have been up in the wilderness area since the 4th of September.  Now these aren't the type of hunters that pack into the back country year after year and rough it.  Well they have been hunting hard for 8 days.  Up at 3 every morning and back after dark.  With many many blown chances in these 8 days.  The calling lessons from Rocky have come in handy but just not gettin it done.  So yesterday huckle and chuckle are humpin hills and the sun is beatin down on them.  So they decide to take a break by one of the local wallowing holes.  Well into Rip Van Winkles nap a mighty splash is heard.  You guessed it the bull in the picture lured in by the snoring is tearin it up.  Keith just happens to be the first to wipe the sleep from his eyes and with the reflections from that pretty shinnie bow he is able to find his instrument of death first and letter fly.  Now we aren't talking about just any joe archer here.  Keith is the 2002 Redding C class champion.  So somehow the arrow hits it's mark and the real work begins.  Congratulations Keith.

Here is another bull from my camp.  Shot 2 minutes out of Easton.  Goes to show you don't have to be in the back country to kill big bulls.  We raw scored him at 357.  It was a one yard shot.  He was the smaller of the 2 bulls coming into the call.  The bigger bull was busted off on one side above G4.

Here is my cow from opening morning.  I was sick as a dog 30 feet up in a tree.  I took the first shot that was available.  Used the Shuttle T-locks for the first time.  I was very impressed.  She only went 30 yards and left a massive blood trail.
