Gobbler Head Chopper Offer Thingies
« on: September 22, 2009, 09:57:49 AM »
In short, I'm thinking about bow hunting for the fall hunt.  Anybody ever used the guillotines?  I see those videos and MAN THAT'S COOL!

They work great when you hit the head, but that thing is moving around and pretty dang small. I shot one with them but damn near missed. If it wasn't for the 3" radius on  them that probably would have been the end. I would shoot for the body with a large cutting diameter broadhead.

the bullheads made by magnus is better you can actually practice with it with out ruining anything i practiced with mine out to 20yrds and it flew right where my field tips did if you are shooting out of a blind just make sure that your netting is out of the way and your window is opened up far enough. the guillotines if you practice with them one shot and you ruin the blades hope this helps.

Hi all, I have shot several Turkeys with my bow over the years, but I have to say I have never heard of the broadhead you guy's are talking about.  Can you use it in Washington if it's over 3 inches in diameter? :dunno:  It does sound like it would do the job on a turkey if you hit one with it, but I'm not sure about the legality of it in Washington.  John

just don't use the magnus head choppers further than 20 or 25 yards, they start to have a mind of their own when they get out there.

i would try the turkey tearror cut on contact broadheads.  mean lookin blades and they fly very accurate. the guillotines do not fly good without the straws for the blades. (hassle to put together).  cannot shoot further than 20 yards in my experience with them.  plus you have to buy a special quiver to even carry the guillotines all put together.  Also reccomended me buying new arrows for them.  Waste of money
