So,this started back in March when me and a friend "MtnDew" booked a guided hunt in B.C. The hunt started Sept. 20 with a 16 mile horseback ride into some of the most beutiful and rugged country I have ever witnessed! After a 6 hour ride in we unpacked all 20 horses and went out for an evening hunt,me and my guide walked about a mile while stopping at every open slide to cow call! The first evening we called in 3 different bulls but no keepers, they have to have six on one side to be legal.Next morning we were back at the same spot but did not hear anything but the big grizzly above us that put on a good show was probably to blame! On the third day "MtnDew" scored,I will let him tell his story!Skip 2 days ahead me and my guide went 7 miles farther in to another cabin and in the morning walked upstream
and we were calling and my bull answered back instantly straight up a slide at a ranged 476 yards and would just bugle and walk side hill above the creek! We quickly crossed the creek and set-up when he came out of the timber and the guide said he was 441 yrds,I felt comfortable shooting my 270wsm off of my shooting sticks!I shot 3 times and hit him all 3 times and he only went 30 yrds before piling up.It took 45 minutes to climb up the steep hill and find him, after we quartered him we walked back to camp in 80 degree heat, then 2 guides and MtnDew packed him back to camp,I was to whipped to help!I will let  my friend tell the rest of the story!Jerry

Two very nice bulls.  Thanks for sharing the story, and nice shooting.  If you get some time, we would love to see some pictures from beautiful British Columbia.

More photos from the hunt can be seen on the thread that I started, "British Columbia elk". Sorry Jerry, I would have just added everything to your thread, but I didn't notice you had posted already! Too tired from the pack out and drive home!
One shot, one Deer. Two shots, maybe one Deer. Three shots, no Deer
