Lets see pics of the rubs you have come across. This may be the mother of all rubs  I put M-Ray in the pic to give it some scale :chuckle:

That is one bad ass rub. I once found a rub that was as high as I could reach sitting on my horse and this tree was to big to be pushed over. I look for it every year to get a pic and cant find it.

We bugled in this spot walked a mile down the road and then on the way out this tree was tore up.  I guess we should have stayed in the first spot a little longer.  It was 7' up the tree.
Cut em!

:chuckle: Obviously the first pic is a joke Dlaw ;) I just put it up to get things rolling. If I had to guess I would say it was rubbed off by a logging truck, either that or the new world record deer, elk or moose. I sure wouldn't want to confront the cougar or bear that could do that either :yike:

In the first pic, I figured you guys had hunted all day and the armpit made the bark shrivel. Rubs are an amazing thing. I once watched a 7x7 totally tear every branch off of a 6 inch diameter trunk tree. Then he decded to do the tree I was standing by.  He was shocked to see the tree give birth to a human.

M_ray is like 3 feet tall so it's not that impressive of a rub...   :chuckle:
