Consider me a team high desert hired gun. Will post tomorrow after hunting steptoe butte area.

Just stay away from Hall Farms......I'll be over on Friday to do my own damage.   :chuckle:

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

OK guy's, just to start off by putting in perspective for you... Gringo31 once told me in conversation that he would "arm a cow & eat a sandwich" & it wouldn't bother him a bit.  I believe that he was being 100 percent honest when he said that.  This morning he called me up & said that I had to see this, but there was no way he was going to touch it.  I grabbed the camera & went out to meet him....He managed to put a shot on this poor example of a dog @ about 100yards running dead way.  It was more of a mercy kill than anything else...  You can tell by the expression on his face he is allot closer to that yote then he ever wanted to be....

This is the circus show of Gringo trying to get an old piece of twine tied on the yote to move it out of the field...  I am really surprised I got this pic I was laughing so hard.

Well i got outta class a little early today and felt the urge to make a stand before it got dark. I went to a spot that i had seen many coyotes in the past but never was able to call them in just because of the pressure from pheasant hunters. I walked out about a mile past my truck and set up on a little eyebrow thats in the middle of a seaded field and started calling with rabbit in distress. I called for a full 45 minutes without seeing anything so i stood up and looked around. It was about 10 minutes before dark and figured i would start heading back to my truck. Just before i started packing up i figured i might as well give a howl and see if anything would respond and maybe locate for another day, not 20 seconds after i called i saw 4 dogs bombing in at about 900 yards so i scrabbled to get situated not having a rest but my knee and waited. It didnt take them a minute to get within 250 yards. One of the dogs was only using 3 of his legs and he came in within about 200. I touched one off and sent one through the boiler room on him. The other 3 went scrambling up the hillside and i quickly grabbed my lil dog and started doing a quick pup in distress, one of them turned around took a couple of steps and i nailed him. I shot a couple other of times trying to get the others but they quickly went out of range. I went down to them and looked at the one with a broken foot it had about 4 inch long of hair on that broken foot, ive never seen anything like it before. They were both large males.

We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

Firecrotch,
I shot a big female that had the hair on its foot like that, if you look close the claws will be longer too.  he one I shot had no muscle below the knee joint.  I was told it has to do with the nerves after they have been shot or nicked, plus the hair and claws don't get worn down from running and digging with that foot.  Pretty bizarre anyway.  Sorry for the  :jacked: guys
