anyone ever use this stuff. I was thinking of trying it out to save the pups pads. She did well Fri and Sat but her feet were unhappy on the way home. The reviews sound good but was hoping to get some info from you guys.

It actually works pretty decent, used it many times on my hounds when I had them.

Cabelas has it for 14.99, or else online. Cabelas is currently sold out so I tried another brand. Hope it works. Thanks for the insight guys

One thing to be careful of is to only use one type(manufacturer) at a time. A friend of mine used the remnants from one bottle and then finished with a new bottle just prior to a hunt. His dog nearly died from the reaction of the two products. Other than avoiding this situation I hear that it works great.

I have heard some really good stuff about Musher's Secret from a friend who puts a lot of miles on his GSP every year. One of the guys I work with lives in the south and hunts a lot with a pair of Blue Ticks and swears by it.

the neoprene ones that sell at sportsman's don't stay on?  I've never had a problem with my pups pads...maybe i'm not working him hard enough :P

i remember reading the delmar smith book and him saying that the toughest pads are black pads.... maybe there is some truth to that....

Musher's Secret vote here.  There is no way short of general anesthetic that our dogs would tolerate wearing boots.   :)  One of our litter sister girls gets owie pads pretty easily, while I think her sister could probably run miles over a sandpaper and broken glass road and have no problems.  Their pads are the same color, btw.
