Painful week.
« on: October 14, 2009, 08:17:17 PM »
This is about the most painful week out of the whole year. I am so excited about the weekend I cant sleep, I walk around all red-eyed sleep deprived. With deer on my mind I have nothing else to do but look at all my hunting gear packed up and ready to go, and vent to Hunt WA that I want to be out in the woods NOW.

Does anybody know the medical term for this pre-season mood I am in?

I think I need a strong dose of blaze orange and crisp fall mornings.

It is called "The Fever"  it comes around hard once a year in the fall, lasts for about 3 months total.  No known cure, you can only treat the symptoms with hours in the woods, smelling like campfire, with good friends and family.  The only known way to stop this "Fever" is to tag out early.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

I just can't wait I keep just opening the back of my suburban and looking....staring at all our gear impatiently waiting till tonight at 3:am when we head out. The anticipation is killing me. At nine a.m. I am heading to the range to shoot my 300 not because I need to sight it in just merely to take some of the edge off :chuckle:.I am heading to an area I have not hunted before and am damned excited to try it out. Grew up hunting white tails in Georgia so the opportunity to maby tag one here is exciting. 8 hour drive and I am thereWWWWUUUHHHHHHHOOOOO!!!!!! :guns: :mgun: :cue: :bfg: :party1: :hunter: :hunt2: Good luck everybody and stay safe......Hope to see a bunch of pics on Tuesday when we get back.

I've been packed since Sunday, loaded the truck last night, and backed it into my buddies shop. Rolling out by 4 am, meeting our other buddies at 5, then the 6 hour drive to camp. I can't wait. This has been the longest week. Good luck to everyone.

Camper is ready to go, just have to finish the shift here at the Fire Station.  Get off in the morning, go home, load rifles, get propane and when the boy gets out of school at 1:30, off to the haunts of my youth.  Excited to be the guide/sherpa for my boy since I sling arrows.
